What to see?

Ellen and I are looking at shore activities pretty hard tonight. We were supposed to be joined online by our shipmates, but apparently there are more important things going on in Louisiana :-) We tried emailing, but the "Open Relay Database Organization" decided that my password protected SMTP server is an open relay agent so they blocked my email from reaching its destination. What's up with that?

I started out with the first port, Monte Carlo. I looked around a bit before stumbling across the comment: "the whole principality is in a 1-square mile area." I realize that some of that mile is several hundred feet up in the mountains, but I think we're going to skip the cruise ship's excursions and wander around Monte Carlo on our own. If all else fails, we can go to the American style sports bar "Stars and Bars," where I can enjoy some traditional Monacan Tex-Mex while blogging from their net cafe.

My next assignment was Santorini. It's not as well publicized as Monte Carlo, probably because James Bond never played blackjack there, but we were able to find some good info. The island's a little bigger than Monte Carlo, but I think this one's a DIY (do-it-youself) as well. For €3 we get our choice of riding either a donkey or a cablecar up to Fira--which do you think we'll choose? One of the more informative sites we found was Travel-To-Santorini.com - The Best Guide To Santorini Island, Greece. Check it out!

ps: if 1) anyone actually reads this and 2) has info about any of our stops on the cruise, please leave a comment somewhere on the site. Thanks!

Of course I'm reading it, but only to keep track of how many slams/digs I'm behind. I will catch up. = )
